Default Time for a Mint Julep

I know it's not the Kentucky Derby, but it was nice enough outside that I decided to have a Mint Julep. I go the old fashioned route.

5 or 6 mint leaves
1 tsp. sugar
splash of water
two shots of bourbon or sour mash

My way is to put the leaves in a shaker, add the sugar and a splash of water and muddle the leaves to get the mint oil released. I then fill my glass with crushed iced and dump it in the shaker. Add the bourbon (this time I used Jack Daniels Single Barrel), shake and pour back in the glass.

I don't bother with the garnish.
