Default Brinley Gold Shipwreck - Spiced Rum Fans

Saw a review of this over on MOR and then by chance found a few bottles up in New Jersey so I grabbed them. Just popped the cork on one bottle and am pleasantly surprised. A beautiful medium/dark amber color, sugar cane rum. Slight congestion on my part so not getting a good nose on it. A nice smooth rum with tastes of mellowed orange, vanilla and nutmeg. Tried a few fingers over ice, very little bite, sipping not a problem. Mixed in a little Coke Zero and the spices blend in smooth.

I suggest grabbing a bottle or two and compare against the Captain and Sailors. I'm pretty sure that of the three together most will reach for the Shipwreck instead. Price I paid at just under $20 a bottle.
