Default Thunderbird Zippo Insert by Vector

Does anyone own this item?

http://www.tobacco-barn.com/p-7881-t...ector-kgm.aspx

I bought one because I like Zippo's and this is a soft flame butane Zippo insert. However I cannot get it to refill properly, it just sprays and spews gas. So bad that the other day I did not realize how much it sprayed that when I lit the lighter, it caught my hand on fire and burnt off all the hair.

Any tips for loading this POS?

I've got the pipe insert one and haven't had any issues.

Hey D... I grabbed one of these and it works like a charm. Did you put it in the zippo before lighting it? I'm not being a wiseass, either... I was filling it forever and it still wouldn't light while it was out of the casing. Put it in the zippo casing and it worked right away.

As for filling it, I have the Ronson lighter fluid with the plastic nozzle. Seems great thus far.

Good luck!

Does it have a different size fill spout? Might actually have to use those adapters that come with the cans of butane.

D, I had the same issue with mine, not the same model but same idea when I was using the larger cans of butane. When I used the smaller cans especially with the plastic nozzle it wasn't a problem.
