Default La Flor Dominicana Double Ligero (Robusto?)

Construction: 5.5x54 veiny, dark brown wrapper

Pre-Light Draw: Smooth draw with an earthy flavor

1st Third: Very peppery start to this cigar. Peppery with a hint of earthiness. Cinnamon spicy and peppery very noticeable in the first inch.

2nd Third: Still peppery w/ a bit of spice. Still enjoyable so far. A bit of earthiness and citrus creep in and mix well w/ the pepper and spice.

Final Third: Strength starts to kick in. It’s powerful (not as strong as a JdN or El Rico Habano)! Spice, pepper, earthiness, and a slight citrus are all still here in the final third. The finish was a little stale.

Final Thoughts: Great stick! I received this stick from Hugh (Hotreds) as part of the Shemp’s Revenge bomb. I was not disappointed and will have to revisit this stick very soon.

Very nice

I smoke a lot of the LFD's and the "stale" ending was common when I first started smoking them. An old guy (well older than me ) at a local B&M told me to purge them at about half way on the smaller ones and twice on the longer ones and it would go away. Been doing it ever since and its gone. Figure its just a nic build up or something since they are so strong.

Either way I love um.

Chas

Thanks for the review

Sounds like good advice. I purged it, but not as good as I should have.
