Well tonight my wife and I finally closed on our house! To celebrate I cracked open a bottle of Jefferson's Reserve Presidential Select 17yr. I must say, it is one phenomenal bourbon. It's a bit pricey, but I purchased it for a special occasion and this evening was definitely one of those. I highly recommend this bottle if you have a chance to pick it up.

Picked up a Pappy 12yr and just waiting to pop it open. I probably should have grabbed another bottle or two, though. The early release in Ky is nice.

WOW! some brutal stuff, Can't find it down here. How is it compared to a Bookers, or Wild Turkeys rare breed for straight barrel strength bourbon?

It is a very unique taste. I generally drink Buffalo Trace, but enjoy the Rare Breed also.
Stagg is not even close to either of those.

Stagg was sold out. I have another spot that should have some real soon that not too many people know about. I'm not worried.

I was at total wines today and they had about 6 bottles each of all the Antique collection. Most I've seen in one store.

My local shop had Booker's 127 on sale for $40, so I picked up a bottle last night. The tag on the bottle says to drink it neat, so I did and although it's real smooth with hints of vanilla and caramel, it was a little much. Dropped an ice cube in it and that helped to open it up and it went down much easier. Refilled my glass 2 more times and smoked 2 cigars, good stuff!

Starting early with some Wild Turkey Rare Breed.
After some Cash is saved up i'll try out Bookers again, But hell after finding the Deal of the century with bottles of Glenlivet Nadurra for 24$ ( Normally 60+$) I snagged 2 bottles and one is going down QUICK! lol

Cheers

The last bottle I picked up was Russel's Reserve 10yr. Very nice for $25. I really wish I could have got some of the BTAC, but at $70 a bottle, no thanks.
