Got a Tall Grass sampler pack today, IPA going now. Good stuff. I am a fan of the Oasis and the Buffalo Sweat already.

The best beer I have ever had is Abyss, from Deschutes Brewery. I still have 4 of these from 2009 in my wine fridge stored at 65F.
I love craft beer, mostly stouts, porters, and dark ales. Some IPA's are also good.
Hop Noir is the best IPA that I have ever had.
On a recent trip to Russia I drank a dark Russian Ale, I can't remember the name but it but it was outstanding.
Guinness, Left Hand Milk Stout, New Castle, Sam Smith Nut Brown Ale, Sam Smith Oatmeal Stout, and Young's Double Choc. Stout are all beers that are readily available that I keep stocked in my fridge.

Yeah the Pumking is good stuff and it doesnt hurt i live about an hour away from the brewery.(and a good freind lives next to one of the brewers ) As for Brooklyns oktoberfest , its a pretty good oktoberfest beer. Nothing mind blowing but a good all around representation of the style.

How's this year's Pumking compare with last year's? I've got 3 bottles already because it sells out so damn fast, but I refuse to drink it before October. Kinda like buying a Christmas tree in September, just doesn't feel right. I liked the '09 better than the '10.

Im normally the same way. it drives me nuts that seasonals seem to come out earlier and earlier so i try to hold off but the beers were a house warming gift. The gifter insisted we sit and drink and who am i to refuse drinking free beer. I thought the Pumking was very good. Had a very pleasant creamy/ gramcracker spice taste without being to in your face. I remember it being a little more heavy on the spice last year but i might be wrong. Ive had a lot of beer since then lol
