McDavid is unreal. I'd be shocked if he doesn't win the Art Ross this season, Derrek.

Backes and Marchand have some instant chemistry for the Bruins, it was impressive to watch.

When Brad first came up and was an instigator / pest he was good at it, I never could figure out why they would bench him for playing that game, I guess that's why.... he's actually a hell of a skater, has superior stick handling skills and a nice shot. He was really good in the Cup game recently and I can't believe he didn't get a little MVP chatter, at least some.

Rask on the other hand is still Rask.

I think they'll probably make the postseason but won't go anywhere. I think the Staal signing will help some, but they still don't have any pure scoring. Lots of playmakers, nobody to put it in the back of the net.

Jets pulled one out of the hat last night. Like the new kids a lot. Laine looks like a number 2 pick. Goalie was mediocre and the refs sucked badly.

Brief view of Mr and Mrs Nutcracker in row 2 in the crowd at the end of the game. Devilishly handsome chap with grey beard:

Nice, Neil!

Yeah, the Jets better not start relying on coming back from 3 and 4 goal deficits.

So I have been trying to get into hockey for the last couple of years. It has been successful but I struggle with the rules, which affects my understanding for the game. I don't have friends that are into it where I am at.

How would I go about learning the rules for it so I can better understand the game?

So much talent offensively. Wheeler, Schiefle, now Laine and Ehlers, usually good stiff from Perreault. I think the defensive part of your D, and goaltending could be issues in making a playoff run.

John Gibson is really bad. He was ranked so high in preseason, I guess you could say he's a little slow getting out of the starting gate. Lost his first 3, 3.50+GAA and sub .900 save percentage. I wonder if they would trade him for Rask?
