Default Just filed my taxes...

Surely, I'm not the only laggard here when it comes to such things. But anyway, I've been killing myself with dread about what I figured was going to be an extreme amount of carnage to my finances once 2007 was filed. I mean, it's really been on my mind a lot. I was looking at liquidating some of my IRA, actually.

As it turns out, I had overlooked a couple of important things and once the return was completed, it turned out that I'll actually get a small amount back (which for me is not a common thing) on the Fed and owe just a few hundred on the state. The sense of relief I have right now borders on euphoria. I'm still screwed once 2008 is due, of course, but I have a year to get that back into shape. I'm going to break out a particularly nice stick tonight. It will be the first time I have really felt like having a nice cigar in weeks.

Just thought I'd share! Wheeee!
