Als point I couldnt agree more hockey is a game of codes and honor. The codes and honor are based on respect. Couple this with a sense of sacrifice you don't find in most other sports. The player who takes a hit to get his teamate the puck, the player who dives to block a shot, etc. All this translates to building character of sacrafice and working for the greater good. Out of all the sports football, baseball, basketball and hockey I would argue that these qualities make hockey players are the least likely to get arrested, the most respectful. Creating young men and women with honor respect and character. |

Re: Being a Hockey Parent
Hockey is a true every-persons game. Its amazing seeing all the different characters that create a team. Gentlemen, Goons, Plugs... The true joy in coaching is getting everyone with different personalities to mingle as one.

Mitch went to Arizona State and got to skate a practice with the team.
He said he had a great time. Looking forward to full details when he returns. |

The d2 team plays sjsu. SJSU plays its home games where Micah skates. I would have no issues being his fan club if he comes. Rocking signs etc. . I could even get some kids from micahs team. Not sure how the d1 d2 thing works there. Didnt even know a school could have both a d2 and d1 team. http://www.sundevilhockey.com/ Oooo and agreed EJ. To say Tempe has some hot women is putting it mildly. Head on a swivel. Last edited by Ahbroody; 01-05-2011 at 12:13 AM. |

Now back to the regular season! If you guys want to keep track of our season, go to Ottawaminorhockey.com then go to leagues/b league/peewee (not MINOR PEEWEE!) Thats us near the top :P... 2-5 record is def much better than a 0-7 record! AAA tourneys vary all over the place with skill level... |
