Default Padilla Habano Robusto

Fairly light feel to this cigar although it is solid with only one soft spot. Prelight aroma of tobacco and cocoa. This had been resting about 4 months.

First third - Good draw. Slightly dry initially with not a whole lot of flavor. Mostly leather and tobacco with a faint peppery spice. Not a whole lot to comment on at this point in the smoke. Light flavors complete this third.

Second third - Still a light flavor which is picking up in strength slightly. Flavors of leather and tobacco persist with hints of cocoa. So far it is quite consistent.

Last third - Some sweetness coming through now as well as an increase in peppery spice. Also picking up flavors of roasted nuts. The spice quickly takes control at the end mingled with a small amount of sweetness. Short finish on this smoke.

Although not very dynamic in flavor it delivered with a consistent burn and a mild-medium strength. A pretty decent smoke in my book.

I had one en route to work this morning. You got it. It's good, but you wish it would deliver just a bit more.

good review! and btw, thanks for properly trimming your nails!...some other dude who posts reviews has got some really long gross nails....which kind of ruins the pic of the cigar

Nice review and photo' Luke. I purchased a box of these back in May 2009 that have been sitting in the cooliodor for a while, and its been about a month since I've pulled and burned one (which will be my fourth out of the box). For the life of me I just can't remember what the darn things taste like at this point. Guess I know what I'll be smoking on Monday AM while watching the sun come up
