Default Question about an older Weber Performer grill

I'm looking at an older Weber Performer charcoal grill with the fire assist starter tomorrow to possibly buy.

It's an older model, with a stainless work table, and I believe the 5 lb. tank that comes with it doesn't have an OPD and I won't be able to get it refilled.

New tanks that size, empty, run about $50, which seems crazy expensive for that little thing.

Does anyone know if I would be able to use the smaller, disposable tanks (like for camp stoves) in this older Performer? I think the new models use them, but I believe the fittings are different ...

I do have my trusty charcoal chimney, but was hoping someone may have a solution for me with the gas tank issue.
