Drink what you like, like what you drink. On those occasions that I drink light beer I drink Old Milwaukee Light. If you like light beer and you've never tried it, give it a whirl. IMNSHO it's better than any of the "Big Name" light beers - Coors, Bud, Miller, etc. Just don't accidentally confuse it with Milwaukee's Best Light, as that's just nasty pi$$water.

Had rouge's daddy's little helper black ipa tonight that my wife surprised me with. Definitely one of the roastier black ipas I've tried. Almost tasted like a hoppy Russian imperial stout to me.

I tried Russian River Brewing Consecration tonight with a cigar and determined that I am not fond of sour beers.

bad choice pairing a cigar with that beer. Why pair extreme acid with a beer? Go with a stout next time.

I was misinformed about the beer. I thought it was just an aged dark ale. First taste let me know I was wrong. For a sour beer it may have been great if I knew what I was getting into. I switched it out for an IPA and it was much better.

Saw SA Octoberfest yesterday. Seems a little early. Anyone tried this years iteration? It has been pretty bad for a few years.

Been a while since I posted. Slowed down my cigar consumption but I still smoke maybe one or two a month. As for beer, still enjoy good craft. I have been making my way through Beer Camp. Yesterday I had Maillard's Odyssey and There and Back. I really like the There and Back. Also, Founders Dirty Bastard is very good.
