Default Flor de Maria Mancini maduro torpedo

Nestor Plasencia blended these cigars in Honduras with 2 different wrappers, a Cuban seed Habano 2000 or a Costa Rican maduro. I smoked the maduro

The cigar is packed in cello. The size of this puppy is 6 x 50 and the cigar is box pressed. The wrapper is oily and dark and quite smooth. The torpedo has a blunt top. The aroma is a bit acid with mild chocolate and liquorices. The construction feels good and that result in a fine predraw with a dry chocolate and raisin flavor. The roller overdid the glue, as there are spots of the glue on the wrapper.

I can taste wood & coffee with every now and then a hint of chocolate. The flavors are medium in strength and quite dry. The wood slowly fades away and the coffee isn’t really good and turns a bit acid after an inch and a half.

Halfway the chocolate returns at the background and the sour flavor is gone. The flavors grow a bit in strength. Some spices show up too. After 2/3rd all I can taste are spices.

I get a medium thick smoke, lots of smoke. The draw is fine and the ash is quite dark. This cigar is medium bodied and medium flavored.

Would I buy this cigar again? No, this cigar didn't do it for me

Really enjoy the MM's but after they have a year or two of age on them.
