Last night broke open my Ithaca Box of Hops and had the Doublezilla and Creeker DIPA. Both were very good.

The gold standard for barrel aged barleywine. Although, the new Bourbon County Barleywine is on par. Excellent stuff.

Ballast Point Homework Series #2. A Belgian style DIPA. I'm not usually a fan of Belgian style beers but this one is very good and well balanced for 115 IBUs and 10%.

So, I never thought i'd find myself saying this, but I've been digging Farmhouse and IPA style beers lately. Used to I found those two style abysmal, but now, well- I really enjoy them.

Best beer i've had in that realm? Boulevard saison brett on tap. MY GOODNESS.

My wife and I split a bottle of Anderson Valley Bourbon Barrel Stout last night. Man it was good, even for this old hop head! I have never had a bad beer from Anderson Valley.
