Talking Padron Serie 1926 #9 Maduro

Date: 1/23/09

Cigar: Padron Serie 1926 #9 Maduro (5.25 x 56)

Cost: $17.95

Drink: Coca-Cola (the best cola)

Appearance: This has a maduro wrapper on it. There wrapper was very dark and elegant. This is a double banded cigar. The serial number on the second band says "No. 755922". The appearance gets a 10/10

Taste of the cigar: This cigar tastes like chocolate and black cherry. The flavor is awesome and it reminds me of a candy bar.

Construction: Held a long ash. There were no major veins showing. The draw was a little on the free side. The cigar required some touchups during the first 1/4". The rest of the cigar burned perfectly.

Summary: This cigar was absolutely delicious. I would love to buy these on a more reguar basis, but the price is pretty steep. I think these are best for special occasions (like when the Cincinnati Reds win the World Series this year). I give it a 10/10.

Awesome cigar! I love the 64s, never had the 26. Looks like a good one! Don't count on that World Series though.

I have had both the 26 and the 64. They are both good. I prefer the 26 over the 64

Tha Annis are a great smoke - it is hard to have the 26's on a normal basis but the 64's rank up there in the Top 20 for sure!

Nice review, I like the black cherry reference!

The 1926 #9 is one of favorite cigars. Although I like the natural just a little bit better.

The 1926 #6 maduro stands as one of the top 3 cigars I've ever smoked in my life.
I'm glad you enjoyed your #9, thanks for the review!

I had a '26 #9 Maduro with a coke(glass bottle)as well on Saturday afternoon. It was my first #9 and my first '26 maduro. I've had many natties and too many #1s to remember but WOW the #9M was the first cigar I've ever used a toothpick on; it was that good. I now understand the meaning of smoking a candy bar.
