Default What I enjoyed this weekend.

Well, I tried some Mac's Blackwatch Cream Porter that was quite nice. Not as bitter as some and definitely not as sweet as the Okocim porter I so greatly enjoy. Good stuff, very balanced.

A friend of mine had some rum as I was hanging out. It was in a Pyrat bottle so I said, 'Sure!' Turns out the bastid drank all his Pyrat and then poured his Cruzan 2 Year dark rum in the Pyrat bottle. Definitely a mixing rum IMO, not so good straight.

The capper on it all was a dram of The Dalmore 12 Year. This was a pleasant surprise. I normally like Speysides more but The Dalmore 12 was very balanced. Very little peat, medium spice, medium smoke, medium sweet. I enjoyed it over one cube of ice while smoking a Gurkha Black Puro churchill.
