Default Any fans of La Aurora?

I'm thinking of buying the 5 pack sampler:

I searched this forum and found 2 reviews on the Emerald and it was rated high by both smokers...

Anyone try the others?

I've smoked the Ruby and really liked it. It is a excellent maduro. I also like the 1495 series and have had the pleasure of smoking a 100 Anos. In my opinion you can't go wrong with any of those.

100 Anos is in my top 2 NC club, I rate them higher than any other aurora. They are fresh, what an Opus X can sometimes become with age. Definitely would be my choice.

I'm a fan of the Ruby (maduro). That being said, they don't exactly offer a great bang for your buck.

Bought one of these last year. They are too pretty to smoke. That being said, I haven't had a La Aurora that I didn't like yet.

I like La Aurora. The 100 Anos are my favorites, but the 1495 series is pretty good as well.

I like the em all but I lean towards the emerald most often. 100 anos seem to only get better the longer I let them rest.

Had a 1495 tonight, not a bad smoke. I think I could get to like them.

Have had the Platinum tubos before, they were pretty good, but I thought they were overpriced.

Several of the regular La Aurora line, both cameroon and maduro wrappers, those too are a decent smoke for the money.

And I picked up a box of the regular La Aurora in a petit corona size, first one out of the box was also a pretty good smoke for times when you don't have a lot of time.

I've only had one I didn't care for, a La Aurora Escogidos that I picked up a 10 pack of cheap at CI. The first one I had was pretty good at the start and about half way through, I couldn't keep it lit. I'll give the other nine some more rest and try one again.

All in all, I'd say La Aurora's seem to be a pretty good choice for me so far.

Mike

Funny you post this. I ordered a box of these last week at CI. They are only $64 right now compared to $104. A steal if you ask me. Over at Famous, if you buy a box of any perfs, you get this sampler as a freebie!

I've only had the red maduro. It was yummmmy. I know I'll enjoy each one of these.

I'm scared to death to see how much La Aurora's are going to cost after April 1st. I'm half tempted to buy a blind box of them....
