I just visited the JR located in Detroit and asked about the sampler this year...I was told that it will be a vendor event. The various vendor's will sale sampler bag filled with cigars, lighters, etc. I will check it out when and if it happens and post what I see.

One item worth $29.95 alone? Are they throwing in a gurkha at msrp?

What I can tell you is that there's at least one item in there that's worth more than $29.95 all by itself ... the rest? Well, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.
That says it all right there for me. They give you 1 stick at MSRP of $29.95 (their price probably half that and the rest are dog rockets. I'm willing to bet it's a gurkha too.

If I hadn't spent over budget already, I'd be tempted to try the #2 sampler. This line makes me curious: Your $49.95 wouldn't buy one of the items at our normal J·R discount price, much less buy all the goodies in it.
