Default Kristoff Liegro Torpedo

decided to light up something new tonight, picked this up earlier this week from the b&m.

Temp: 50's
Appearance: very oily, colorado maduro in color. shag foot similar to the JFR. Band is a simple grey and gold affair proclaiming "elite cuban taste" we'll see I suppose.

clipped it with my palio and off I go. Initially very spicey but it settled right down for me into a nice cramy smoke. Nice white ash, but the burn is a bit ragged. aftertaste is definitly coffee in nature, . At this point the flavors seem muted. About .5" in will update in a bit...

about half way in now, ash wont hold for nothing, burn is still ragged. Flavors haven't changed to much except now I'm picking up a OpusX type chilli pepper/burning crdboard taste but it seems to come and go. Big plus for smoke volume and draw as its not taking much to get this guy to smoke nicely. Near the mid point the ligero is really noticable, but I have no issues with high nicotine levels. The fact that it is simply building in strength and not complexity is a bit dissappointing and I'm starting to think the blender mistook the "elite cuban taste" to mean super strong..

Finished it off at just over an hour, last 2" was very peppery and the strength was high. Overall not a bad stick but the finish is a bit harsh and untamed, seems like if the ligero was toned down a bit it would be an excellent smoke. I would probably smoke this again but only as a real change of pace from what I normally smoke, not a favorite of mine but a decent cigar expecially considering the money invested at 7 ish bucks.
