Default A plugged Anejo?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I lit up a 07 Anejo and was talking with a pal of mine and noticed that my cheeks were hurting trying to draw on this thing. Now let me say, my humis are at 62-65 RH ALL the time as I carry mostly CCs in them at this point. It is smoking great now but this is the first Fuente product that I had this issue with. Anyone else? It is a delicious stick by the way

I have only had a couple tight draw ever on Fuente cigars, and they wer both Short Stories....very strange, Scott.

I have smoke more than my fare share of these, all sizes and have not had a problem.

I have had this happen often with pyramid shaped cigars or any that have a tapered cap. The main reason has been that I did not clip it low enough. I have always been able to solve the problem by merely clipping a little more of the stick.

never had a plugged Fuente but they are a handmade product. How do those draw tester machines work? do they test every cigar or just a couple per bundle? better luck next time I guess. glad it worked out though. Fuente is one of my fave NC producers.

I am sorry for your loss. There's few things worse - from a cigar point-of-view anyway - than having one you can't enjoy even though you want to.

I recently smoked the Queen B and that was pretty darn tough to draw on. Did I enjoy it, yes. But the tough draw did throw me off a bit.

It just shows you, even the top companies can make bad cigars.

I seriously think that the 07's Anejo's were among the worst as far as QC goes. That was the first year I bought more than usual and it really sucked (pun intended) because of all of the problems. I had some plugged. I had some too wet. I had some unravel, etc. Before and since then it has not been a problem at all.

Here is a pic of an 07 problem Anejo:

Wow, I've never really come across a Fuente with a draw issue. Definitely a one off thing.

I do not think I have ever had an anejo that did not draw well. Some that seemed a little tight, but as soon as I lit them up, no issues.

I guess it is bound to happen from time to time.
