I'm reading a book on him right now. How society has forgotten him is a shame, what a great man.

Being from Pittsburgh and of the age of 43 I'm reminded of a time when baseball was romantic in every little boy's heart, I grew up with Wllie Stargell, a man who exemplified the purity and sincerity of the game I love. I spent 4 years being bounced around the minors in Florida in the hopes of one day hitting brand new baseballs for batting practice, but it was not to be. Mr. Musial is the epitome of what made this game I hold so dearly magical, my heart goes out to his family and his fans. In today's game that consists of the "what about me" mentality, present day diamond worriers could learn what integrity means from this man. The gentleman had truly all five tools and will be sorely missed.

Indeed rest in peace. Was my baseball hero when I was a kid. I even played with a Musial endorsed glove.

THIS was the kind of guy you want your sons and daughters looking up to, sadly not many athletes or celebrities in general around today that can even come close to The Man. Truly one of the last really good guys.

3,630 hits of those 1815 on the road and 1815 at home, pretty freaky, a lot of people actually thought he did it on purpose, how good do you have to be for other players to even consider thinking that?
