Default Here we go! Bone in Ribeye primal

Having a get together tomorrow night. Giving 10 of my closest cigar smoking, beer drinking friends pretty much free reign at my stash. We can't smoke and drink without eating, so here's the beautiful cut of meat that I got. 14lb bone-in Ribeye primal. Cooking it on the Big Green Egg. Going to be insane.

That is a nice cut of meat! I have pork spare ribs in the barrel grill right now with hickory chunks smoking away. Can't wait to eat it but I'm definitely a little jealous of that ribeye!

That looks incredible. I've been toying with the idea of getting an Egg to replace my barrel. Hear they are the best....

I hope that you had better luck than me. I did a bone-in rib eye roast on my smoker last year and found that because it was so lean, it didn't wind up tasting near as good as roasting it in red wine does.

If you had a marinade or such, please post it. I'm 0 for 1 with these on the smoker and would like to even the score.

Pot roast turns out great for me, however.

I've slow-cooked these in my oven (170 degrees) but never had any luck slow-cooking one on the grill.
