Good day all, the morning / noon coffee is on here at the Fisher House and we finally have a sunny day. As a lot of you know, i've been here in Germany by my son's bedside for about 5 day's now. He was evacuated from Afghanistan early last week after blacking out a few times and was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Jeremy is doing much better, he's up walking around and it looks he will be transferred to the Army hospital here in Landstuhl on Thursday. The doctors are saying that the tumor is benign (germinoma) and was caused by the thyroid producing to much Beta-HCG. They can treat that through meds but they'll have to remove the tumor with radiation because it's to close to the brain stem. He'll be transferred to Walter Reed Army hospital in Bethesda, MD next Tuesday via an Army hospital plane. All in all, things are looking up and we all are very happy.

Please do not post this in Facebook (to all my FB friends) as I don 't want the whole world to know. Thank you.

Talk with you all soon, Charlie.

Good morning all and the coffee is on the cold "Hump Day" morning. I wanted to update you all on Jeremy's current status: We found out yesterday that he was misdiagnosed in Germany and that the tumor is actually malignant (cancerous). The doctors at Walter Reed Military Medical Center are being very aggressive with it and are starting treatments very soon as it hasn't moved or got any larger as of yet. They plan on blasting it with radiation 30 minutes a day for 25 days. I'm going down to be by his side this Friday where his wife Christen and mother Pat are currently at. I'll stay for a few days and then head back down there again next week for another stay. I know Jeremy is strong and he will get through this with our love and continued prayers. Thank you all for your support and I'll update you guys as we know more.........

Good morning all, the coffee is on and it's definitely cold outside this brisk November morning. Got home yesterday afternoon after a nice 4 day weekend with Jeremy, his wife Christen and a few others throughout the stay. Planning on going back down next week for another 4 days starting the Tuesday the 3rd. I'm glad that the military is taking good care of him and his wife during these rough times and the doctors are on top of everything thing else. I hope everyone has a happy Thanksgiving week and safe travels to those that will be on the roads this week as well. Enjoy........

Good morning all, the coffee is on and the turkey is in the oven. We'll have a total of 12 of us this year for Thanksgiving which is always a nice thing to have a house full. As far as Jeremy's status, they actually started his radiation treatments yesterday and he is happy that they did. He wanted me to tell you all thanks for all of the prayer and positive thoughts sent, it means a lot to him. I hope everyone has a great day and enjoys.......

Good morning all, the coffee is on and it's looking like it will a nice sunny winter day here in the Hudson Valley. Seeing that I have a few free hours on my hands today, I think I'll get some yard work done and maybe even put some Christmas lights up (I know, it's not even December yet but it's close enough). Hope everyone has a good day and get to enjoy a favorite cigar or two or.......

Good morning all, the coffee is on and it's the first day and last day back to work after a relaxing Thanksgiving day weekend. Congrats to the Eagles for winning their 4th game in a row and staying tied for 1st place in the NFC East. There was a lot of great football this weekend both college and pros but I'll have to say that the ending of the Alabama vs. Auburn game was out of this world. Anyway, hope everyone has a great week and enjoys a few of your best throughout it........

Good morning everyone, the coffee is on and in a few hours, we are heading down to spend a few days with Jeremy and Christen at the Bethesda Naval Medical Center (Walter Reed). I'm happy to say that the radiation and all the prayers and positive thoughts sent is working. When I called down there yesterday to speak with his wife Christen, Jeremy answered the phone and I was so happy to hear his voice. His hearing is coming back which is definitely a good thing. I'll let him know you all are thinking of him and are continuing to daily. Enjoy the rest of the week and I'll talk with you guys soon.......

Good morning all, the coffee has been on since 0430 and it's back to work since it's Army vs. Navy football week. Congrats to the Eagles on their 6th win in a row and hopefully continue that streak next week. Beth and I had a great week down with Jeremy and his wife Christen. He is doing remarkably well. He has his hearing back as well as his clear vision and taste. We got to smoke a couple of cigars together and enjoy dinner off of Walter Reed as well. The doctors are very pleased with his reaction to the radiation treatment that will continue for roughly another month. Jeremy and Christen are on the list to attend the Army / Navy game, Beth and I are planning on heading down there as well and meet up with them. Hope everyone has a good week and enjoys it as well........

Good morning all, the coffee is on as always and we are about to get hit with some snow this morning. Congrats to Da Bears for beating the Cowboys and giving sole possession of first place to the Eagles. Hope everyone has a good day and drive safely if you're out there driving in bad weather.......

What would the Yankees be with David Price.
I`m sure we wouldnt miss Canoe very much then.
But we do miss him now, at least i do.
He was a joy to watch play and hit.
After Miggy, he has the most natural batting skills in baseball.
He wouldve hit 40, and batted 325 last yr if the yanks were healthy.
His best yr.

While I cant cheer for Army or Navy today, I am envious of the honor of escorting MOH recipients. Have a great weekend sir.

Good morning all, the coffee is on and it's back to work after a good weekend in Philly. It sucks that Army lost again but we had a great time with family and friends both old and new. We got to spend some time with Jeremy and his wife Christen and a few other Wounded Warriors who were bussed up from Walter Reed Military Medical Center. I hope everyone has a great week and enjoys a favorite or two throughout it.......
