Freestoke (elsewhere) sent me a small bag of black tobacco cut down to a heavy coarse ribbon. I really don't know what to do with it - smoke it or blend it. It makes me nervous.

You have to love strong tobacco to enjoy Tambolaka. The way it's cut doesn't matter, I don't think, but I've only rendered stick into something between a ribbon and flake, and for me it burns fine, no acrid smell.

On another note, my cut highlights the difference of how the stick chops up. It's sinewy, not pliable and soft.

It is a one of a kind tobacco, but so are many others that originate in a tropical climate.
