To be honest I notice only traces of it in the tobacco I find it mends well with the perique. I get the VA's then the sweet / spicy runs in and out of the smoke. So far so good. I just grabbed two disk stuffed em into the pipe and went to town. Still smoking it as I type. I think that most blends use too much cavendish maybe that's why I did not care for it too much.

Might need a brother to split a box up with. Dunno if I'm game for another case of jars...

P.S. Luxury Twist Flake. Not sure what to make of this blend. It seems to have some sort of casing on it. It's extremely sweet. I'm not sure it it's from the cavendish "pressing" done to the flake or not. The room note is not too bad. Maybe a change of pace smoke, but I dont think it's something I would load up on...

Default Re: Whats in your bowl?

Two bowls so far tonight.
1st bowl of Louisiana Red from pipesandcigars good Va/Per Blend. I like the range on the VA's. Will be getting more of this for sure.
2nd bowl is Ten to Midnight another blend from P&C. Latakia krumble kake of sorts. I first tried to break pieces off and sit them in the bowl and smoke similar to a flake but that was a massively bad idea. I dumped the baccy and rubbed out the kake now it is smoking like a dream. Good Lat blend but isnt quite a Lat bomb. Good for when you want a good shot of Latakia but not so much. Definitely going on the pound purchase list...

Presbyterian Mixture again, in a GBD 5th Avenue (Made in France), a diplomat shape. Good first smoke of the day. TGIF.

How do you like the P-lip? I've never smoked one but they sound intruiging.

I tried some GH Sweet Rum Twist in a no-name apple today and lived to tell about it. I guess all the cigars have prepared me for the stronger pipe tobaccos.

I've only smoked 1 bowl so far. It definitely did as it's supposed to, directly the smoke to the roof of my mouth. Which proved good for the VA Flake I was smoking since I tend to puff heavy on VA Blends. I'm going to have to give it a few more smokes to make a real decision on the p-lip.
