How long can you hold your breath?

I've been doing exercises trying to strengthen my lung capacity, as of today I can hold my breath for 1min and 33sec.

How about you?

Well I didn't time it but I just ate quite a bit of lasagna, I'd say probably a minute 30 to clear the plate

Holding my lungs....probably about 27 seconds.

Just timed myself at my desk, I got 1:14. Not bad for a out of shape cigarette smoker. I used a technique for free diving where you take 3 quick deep breaths like you are hyperventilating and on the 4th you hold it. I have also been working on breath control as I scuba dive about 5 to 6 times a week.
