Throwing money at the problem hasnt work thus far. Makes me think of the US government's mentallity that you can solve the Big Three by throwing money at them.

I guess the Yankees have the new big three they are throwing money too, Burnett, Sabathia and Rivera.

The difference being that all three were awesome last year. And Rivera was signed a year ago, why bring him up?

Texiera would be a great pickup put paying more than 6yrs at 150 million is not worth it. I would like to see the Sox get him at 5 yrs 100 million

I would rather see him go to DC and build up that franchise, if Lowell comes back healthy, we can survive without the payroll.
