Found a can of this left by a visiting baseball team at the place I work out at, very tasty stuff. Thanks for reminding me, now I have to find some more.

But of course we've heard of SUNDROP! I still stop by and get one at the convenience store about once a week when heading to the lake. Like it better than Mountain Dew...and of course the regular is good, but, not much difference between it and the diet.

Now....I've got one for you, how about Cheer Wine? Ever heard of it and/or had one?

Oh Yes! Had it for the first time in 1974 in Blowing Rock, NC. Had to pull the glass bottle from one of the old rack on the side vending machines. To this day, that was probably the best soda pop I have ever tasted.

You bet! Still on the market and making a pretty huge resurgence in the eastern part of NC.

SmokeyJoe --I recall the vending machines you're referring to! My dad use to buy me a cheerwine and a pack of cheese crackers while we sat at the gas station solving the world's problems with his buddies. Had a many Sun Drop's at the same place...along with NEHI Grape Drinks!

Just had one the other day at a BBQ chain here in Columbus. They ship in a lot of the brands you can only get down south. I think my step-dad still has a case that has Earnhardt Sr. on all the bottles.

When I saw this was a poll, I had to ask WTF!!! Is there really any other than the regular???

A hole-in-the-wall BBQ joint I have been going to for better than 40 years serves Sundrop as the only bottled drink available (other soft drinks are fountain). Top Hat BBQ in Blount County has served Sundrop for as long as I can remember; and I have been eating there since I was a mere slip of a small boy.

Forget the poll. Don't be swayed by the offerings of the other two flavors. Go for the green (yellow?)(Yellow/green??!!) goodness in its full color and calories (unless you are diabetic, then sugarfree is acceptable. But not the red stuff, for the love of all that is tasty!!!

Scottie...Wow, I forgot all about Squirt. Use to drink it as well. It was pretty good, as well. But...the Sundrop was and is what I pull out of the cooler at the store when I'm cruising down the road.

Heck yeah, Still have Sundrop here in NC. Can't drink the regular wit hsugar anymore because of my diabetes, but I still very much enjoy the Diet Sundrop. If I am not mistaken Sundrop was the favored drink of the late Dale Earnhardt

And a little of subject but who can forget RC cola and the Nehi Sodas( I specially love the Peach Nehi and Grape Nehi.)
