Default RP Renaissance Robusto

Strength-Med-Full
Origin-Honduras
Wrapper-Sumatra

First time with this RP Renaissance, and although I admire and like most of what RP is producing, this fell a little short for me. Humidor time was at least 3-4 months.

Nice Sumatran wrapper, some pronounced veins but nicely constructed Robusto.

I used some cigar matches to roast up the foot.

Used a large punch cut, draw was right on, simple flavor profile early on.

Even burn, starting to get some nice spice, espresso, horse saddle.

Default Re: RP Renaissance Robusto

1/3 of the way through, drawing nicely and consistent flavor profile.

Slight uneven burn, still tasting some nice coffee, earth but lacking complexity.

After a good hour and 15 minutes I had enough, and was feeling a bit saucy. It's not that this RP was a bad smoke, it just fell short compared to so many RP offerings. Analogous to an inane movie or incredulous novel....I kept expecting the Renaissance to go somewhere, and in the end it never did.
