Peyton Manning is off the PUP today and will be back to practice tout suite.

Nah, he's not getting you or, more importantly, anyone else any points if he's picking splinters out of his ass. He's in a good spot.

Just an FYI- I was the league runner-up last year and I think I had a pretty good draft.

Dear Bax,

I don't like you very much since you never come around Burn's for a smoke ()...sooooo:

Every week that Bax doesn't get a podium finish (1st, 2nd, 3rd) I will put $5 in to my pool of money to donate for troop shipments. I will make one lump donation once the game ends. I will pull the standings each Tuesday morning/afternoon - given that games are played (mostly) on Sundays and Mondays this seems like the best day to call the "end of the week".

In Addition if Bax finishes last overall at the end of the season...I'll double it.

So, Bax...lose away. Although if we get towards the end and he is still in dead last I may change my tune.

(If something unforeseen happens - i.e. me losing my job - I'll donate sticks instead)

PS - Everyone make sure to taunt him relentlessly if he loses.
PPS - Tim - wanna meet at burns for a stogie this weekend?

Ha!!!! Looks like your money will be safe this year But maybe I'll tank just to hook up the troops.

I will definately come have a stogie with you. I'm off Sunday and Monday and off around 2 on Saturday. So when ever you decide to head up. Don't forget to bring your D&D dice and we'll play a litte

I was cleaning up today and I realized I had my cigars for this sitting in my room, I never sent them out. I don't know how that happened, but I'll make sure they're in the mail tomorrow.

Quick question on the scoring here, sure seemed like the Packers DE/ST scored a touchdown last night...why did I not get points for it?

Alright - I think I've finally figured out how to read the fantasy football page. Here's the standings from last Tuesday (09/06/11):

1 Stephen's Shockers 203.50
2 Sofaman 195.60
3 shilala 178.30
4 Mattso3000 160.40
5 Bax's Death Beaters! 155.60
6 Jonumberone's Jerks 152.90
7 RangerB Never forget 149.50
8 nolo contendere 131.60
9 jkim05 105.20
10 Tampa Torpedos 68.50

Bax finished 5th overall for the week! Since he didn't finish in the top 3, I am adding $5 in the shipment to the troops pool. Next check in date: 09/13/11

Current balance: $5

Yeah - this one is actually for last week...I think at least. They have "week 1" and "week 2" with all results posted for week 1 and some stats posted for week 2. Or am I misunderstanding the site's layout?

I'm not sure what you're looking at.
The totals you posted are the week 1 totals minus the 2 games yet to be played tonight.
If you like I can update the totals for you in the morning.

Nah - it is fine. When I looked this morning there was a "week 2" listed as well (unless I was so sleepy that I was dreaming it). It won't be difficult to update. Thanks, though!

You're kinda right, Alex.
On the right hand side of the league page there are the "Matchups" which are the current scores for matchups being played this week. There's a tab above that shows the matchups for next week. (Matchups are who's playing who, there are 5 matchups each week). Come next week, there will be a week 1, week 2 and week 3 tab on top of that box. It's a quick reference for last week's scores, the current week's scoring, and who will be playing who next week.
As the season rolls along, obviously the week designation on the tabs will change, but they'll always show last week, the current week and next week.
It's all important stuff, I use that box and those tabs all the time to see who's winning, and to plan my lineup for next week, etc.

You probably did see points in the week 2 tab, too. Yahoo screws up all the time, and regularly gives erroneous information. If you ever check it at 4:00 in the morning, it's always wrong. They get it all ironed by around 8:00 in the morning.

Thank You Tom Brady!!!!! I believe that makes me the high point scorer for week 1. That means the troops win! I'll have to look back, but I did have a few takers on my predraft week 1 bet.
