I use the property report for my house that lists elevation as a close enough guide. Seems like my old casio ABC is just a little more consistent than the Tissot, but I'm in South florida, so there arent any real changes in elevation anyway unless I'm driving on an overpass

I bet barometric pressure must change a lot in S. FL

finally took a couple snaps of the new whip:

I never wore my black navitimer. It sat in its case for over 6 months without being worn....so i traded it for this white one. I've already begun wearing it. It wears much larger than the black face. obviously.

I just bought this one because it was different. That, and I'm addicted to watches.

Not to mention the crown at 12:00.

What do those two small hands do and do they jump back?

27 jewel automatic movement too!

My guess is that they are the second hands. It seems that you alternate reading them. The bigger hand goes from [6]0-30 (outer numbers); The smaller red hand shows 30-60 (inner numbers).

You're correct. When I first looked at the watch, I thought I saw a seconds hand, but it was the shadow of the minute hand in the photo. I first thought it was odd to have the jumping counter while there's a seconds hand (which there isn't).

Hamilton is owned by Swatch Group, so it's a quality piece for the money. Swatch owns a ton of big name watches, not to mention ETA movements.

Yes, it's just a standard sub second. The difference being only the markers are on one half instead of a full circle. 0 to 30 using the larger end of the second hand and using the shorter red end to read 30 to 60.

If you look at the hand the large white end is for the 0-30 and the short red tail counts the 30-60. It still spins like normal its just a little different gauge to read it by. Pretty cool imo.

For some reason I just started getting into watches. I can't throw any serious cash down and if I could I probably wouldn't anyways. I just bought a solid black Invicta Sea Spider Special Edition and a black and gold Invicta Corduba Collection. I want to get a different brand next. Going for a solid gold or solid silver (in color not material) next.

Jsnake, Invictas are where watch collecting started for me, welcome to the top of yet another slippery slope...

Thank you and I am doomed! Bought 2 watches in 2 months. Just got that second one yesterday actually.

What brands should I look at next? I want to stay in the $200 or $300 range and I really want a skeleton watch. There are many on the internet that look great but reading reviews the quality seems to stink. I would love a Breitling but it is out of my price range.

There are several Chinese made skeleton watches that are nice for the money.

Thanks for the link. Just what I was looking for. I might actually grab this exact one if my wife doesn't kill me first.

I am big fan of this watch which is under $140 made by Swatch. Swiss made, automatic, skeleton, hip and fun.

You dont need to spend 350 for a skeleton. they either tend to be under 150 for cheapies. or about 400-600 for a decent one.

I WOULD REC ORIENT! (wait for the 50% coupons they FREQUENTLY put out for first tiem buyers}
http://www.orientwatchusa.com/urban-c-44_47.html

Bulova and Kenneth cole also make decent watches... and sell skeletons/openhearts

Also, Michael Kors makes a GREAT Quality watch, im sure they have skellies.

A reliable "Swatch" brand can be had for under 150.00

Also, look for skeletons with Unitas ETA 6497 movement.

Finally, i say just buy one of these.... looks cool as heck (Panerai homage)

inexpensive as well.

CLiffs notes:
1. Bulova
2. Orient (50% off)
3. Michael Kors
4. Kenneth Cole
6. PAM Homage
