But there has been a problem with the labels and the date stamps are not always readable.

I'd try it. I don't think I could eat one of those big black beetles, though. If my survival was at stake, and I'd already eaten Darrell, the big black beetles would definately move way up on the menu.

Scott, you appear to be the first person to admit that you'd try it (which I find interesting...you'd think there is a stigma or something). I'm in the yes column as well. Of course that is easy to say without a plate of it in front of me. As long as the person wasn't killed/raised for food, I don't see a problem. I wouldn't eat the brains or any major nerve centers though (I don't want kuru or any other prion).

I just don't have a problem with it. I'll try anything once. I blame it on my grandmother. She used to make me eat all sorts of gross sh!t when I was a little kid, told me I should keep my mind open, avoid "comtempt prior to investigation".
I even ate liver and onions when I was a kid and actually liked it. I like pickled heart and pig's feet, or at least I used to.

It's red meat. If we're eating said person in the tropics, it's likely to be very lean. Odds are I won't like it because I like well-marbled meat. It'd be too dry for me.
But I can't see why I wouldn't try it. I've tried a lot worse than a slab of red meat. Sweet Potatoes, for instance.

Soylent Green anyone?

No, I wouldn't, mostly because it's people, and partially because old tough cows and chickens make horrible eating, and if it died of disease you shouldn't eat it, and if it died due to war or road-kill what the heck are you doing in such a dangerous place?

I think it's a fun question to ask....and I'm not bored.....so I guess the answer is that I've really thought about it. You never wonder about ridiculous scenarios?

Mine usually involve female triplets, or Jessica Alba, rather than eating people.

I ate some bacon for lunch and this thread came to mind..... I prefer thinking of bacon just as pig fat and back muscle
