Besides Sam Adams Cream Stout what other cream stouts have you had.

Bell's Special Double Cream Stout is pretty good, imo. I tend to prefer imperial stouts.

+1 on both(does that make it +2?). I LOVE Imperial Stouts. Rasputin and Stone's IRS are both fantastic. If you can find the Stone IRS on tap, empty the keg. It's incredible. Just be aware, it's 12% abv

I also prefer Imperial Stouts to Cream Stouts. The Stone IRS is great.

Imperials are great, but that's not the question the OP asked.

HERE is a list of milk stouts from BeerAdvocate. Not sure what is available in California, but hopefully the list helps.

Labatt's used to make a "Velvet Cream Porter". Only had it in Canada and I never saw it in the states. Haven't had it in a long time, but it was excellent.
