The LFD DL deserves to be up there. One of the only sticks that can make me sit down.
The Camacho is pretty strong as well. The 601 Green is stronger than the Blue IMO. The San Cristobal is not strong at all. The Oliva V is spicy but not terribly strong. |

I don't know what the deal is with The V being on there, but its not that "manly" or strong, IMHO. I feel its more flavorful yes, but it doesn't seem to overly so. haven't had the figurado or the torpedo but I have them to try soon.

This also proves that everyone's palate is different. I've smoked all of them and never found any of them all that strong. The 601 blue I found to be the most mild of the 601 line.

JdN Antano is a great smoke! Very strong and tasty. I picked up a box on FS about 6 months ago and just broke into the box recently.

Man, woman, or whatever...
They left El Rico Habano off the list of strong smokes too.

When using the word "strong" do you think the article is equating strong to taste or to nicotine strength. I like strong "tasting" cigars while I don't care for cigars High in nicotine content. Hell, if I want a lot of nicotine I'll go back to chain smokin cigs!

I agree, this and the Partagas Black. I've smoked 3 of the 5 and I didn't know those were suppose to be strong. I'd rather smoke any of those 5 before smoking another Partagas Black, even though it's been a few years those always made me dizzy. The CAIN was strong but didn't make me dizzy might smoke another one of those.

I'm with you on that Eric!
And I would have included the T110 too! I guess I'm just missing it with the Partagas Black, I "never" thought it was anything more than "maybe" a medium bodied cigar! ....and lastly, I'm sure everyone noticed that list was done in February 2008, damn near two years ago now. |

I have smoked almost all of the five, and didn't think they were that strong. I love the JDN Antono as well. I think I am stoked on nicotine all the time anyway cause of my smokeless tobacco use. I have talked to a few others who also use smokeless tobacco and they smoke the strong one's and don't get buzzed or overpowered by them either. I don't feel more manly because of it though.

Not sure about the preference part Jeff, but I know that the nicotine absorption from either dipping or smoking is a lot more than you get from smoking cigars. I have only had a couple cigars that made me a little nauseous and prolly only cause I smoked em early and hadn't had anything to eat.
