Sean,

If you send it to me, I'll exchange for you!

Although it doesn't happen often, you may have just had one that wasn't up to snuff.

They really do have the best cut, I've been using the first one I ever bought like 7-8 years ago as my "go to" cutter and it's as sweet as ever.

Used mine recently at the local cigar bar and let a few others use it. They all thought it was best they ever used both in form and function.

Grabbed one on Saturday as well. I couldn't find it last night and thought I had lost it...False alarm, it was just under my seat. Works great so far.

If you use it, it definitely doesn't "feel" cheap. In my opinion, it's got a better feel and action than any other cutter on the market. Also, the warranty is second to none.

Wait.. so you don't even own a Palio? You were just on here bashing a respected manufacturer for S&Gs?

If that's your way of getting feedback, you sure went about it the wrong way.

What it comes down to is if there are any issues (i.e. coming apart) you just have to bring it to a Palio retailer or send it back for a replacement. It's that easy...

I'm going to skip reading the few pages of comments and just say "my Palio is one of the best investments I have ever made (period)"

But Hal, the meat of the thread is more exciting than the typical Xikar/Palio argument. No seriously, it is.

You can never have too many cigars, they are like an investment in good times.

Heck, you can even use your Palio to cut and strip wires, remove staples, open packages, sharpen pencils, and pull splinters, and it still can cut 10,000 more cigars.
(I admit I may have made some of that up.)

It will also void the warranty.
Stick to cutting cigars.

I'm still a newbie here so forgive me if this has been covered before:

Are Palios purchased on the interwebz the same ones that my local B&M carries?

Yes, but the ones from B+M's are better
