I didn't share my troubles with many, but I wanted to share how great this place is! I have been dealing with the IRS since October. I made a big mistake and it cost me HUGE! I had my paycheck taken and my bank account seized. I just this weekend finished up paying my dues. But during the past 4 months I had some great brothers of the leaf helping me out. rennD, cigarmonkel, devanmc, Conch, blugill (I think all I have is emails for some), and adriftpanda from the Tough Economic times PIF helped keep food on the table, RevSmoke helped by keeping us in his prayers, and I would like to thank those who bought smokes from me, all together my kids never missed a meal! I sold more than 75% of my cigars so I dont have much left and with all the news lately I wont be buying more soon. But I had to do what I had to do and these folks helped me out BIG BIG time! Please share the Rep!

Possibly the absolute worst time of my life, the IRS doesn't play at all!

Wow! I had no idea! Glad that you survived ok, and that your family did, too. Kudos to those that helped you in your time of trial! I'm sure we can help replenish some of your stock! Good luck to you and your family! And you're right about the IRS! I've had unpleasant encounters with them as well.

Bummer...sorry to hear about that. I'm always hearing some commercial on the radio for people that owe money to call them and they'll get it settled for pennies on the dollar.

I could have done that, yes they get the IRS to settle on some of your debts. But I made the mistake, so I paid the full price, not trying to get out of anything.

When they originally audited me they said I owed them $47000. But after I provided them all the documentation they needed it was about 1/10th of that. It was totally my fault, dumb mistake. You live and you learn.
