| Micro brew tester | Question about an older Weber Performer grill

I'm looking at an older Weber Performer charcoal grill with the fire assist starter tomorrow to possibly buy. It's an older model, with a stainless work table, and I believe the 5 lb. tank that comes with it doesn't have an OPD and I won't be able to get it refilled. New tanks that size, empty, run about $50, which seems crazy expensive for that little thing. Does anyone know if I would be able to use the smaller, disposable tanks (like for camp stoves) in this older Performer? I think the new models use them, but I believe the fittings are different ... I do have my trusty charcoal chimney, but was hoping someone may have a solution for me with the gas tank issue.
