Need a little help....

I'm looking to replace my daily driver, and one I'm considering is an American car that was imported into Canada. Our vehicle history only shows the trail back to when it was brought up here in '99.

Can anyone help with a carfax for it's US life??
I'll be happy to pay in fine cigars for your time...

Not really sure what I need to do but I think I can get it online. Is the problem you can't get it is because your not in the states?

Are older model Canadian cars as bad off as the standard issue northern American cars from all the salt?

In a word... Yes.

That's why I buy them at about 10 yrs old and drive them until they are ready for the scrapyard...especially my daily to/from work-mobile.
