Got this stick from Conch Republican at our [insert cool name] herf last month.

Humidor time: A month, duh

Prelight: The wrapper has no flaws but 2 prominent veins. Prelight draw is moderate, tasting of coffee and leather.

Burn: The burn was fairly straight, a little wavy at times. Ash was a little flaky, but solid. Draw was moderate. The burn time was about an hour and 45 minutes .

Flavor: Not surprisingly, very similar to the cg:4: coffee, cocoa, and pecan, with a nice spice finish.

Summary: Very tasty, and lasted quite a while. What more can you ask for?

I'm curious how this matches up with the vitola it replaced (the m7 figurado, IIRC). Anyone tried both?

Short and to the point, I should probably follow your lead when doing reviews.

I'm going to have to give this one a try. I haven't had a bunch of Illusione but the ones I have had I have enjoyed.

Thanks for the comments Jeff, I appreciate it.

It takes me far too long to type that and post it up though. I proof read it over and over to make sure I have no misspellings or grammatical errors. On occasion I still find mistakes I've missed. I've gone onto far too many message boards where people vilify you for even the slightest mistake.

The members here are a pretty tolerant bunch. Personally, I'll only rip on someone if they consistently use the big words incorrectly, or invite abuse on themselves (like the usenet poster years ago who replied to one of my posts with "Your a moran."

Great review, short and to the point. Also love the stick, but haven't had one in a while. I may have to revisit the cg:4 as well, if you thought they were similar.
