Feed me enough liquor (like the night in question), and I will tell you about trying to smoke a cigar with the cedar still on.

was it woody? I often wondered if leaving the cedar on cigars increased the woodiness of them.

Not everyone has got it like that. I've found Real ones pretty difficult to get a hold of most of the time. Supposedly something like 97% of what comes here is fake anyway.

woah!

In all seriousness, though, I would check that source....as that number seems slightly high

Unless it is referring to 97% of the things brought back from Mexico street vendors or something

If that's the case, I'd say it's about 3% low of correct.

Right, guys. Maybe Mario meant the percentage of sticks coming into the Bay Area?? And maybe, being Cali, more fakes are coming in SotB??

Nah, there's a couple of LCDHs in Mexico.

With as many cigars as Bob buys, even if every other one of us was buying fakes, that number would be much, much lower.

I don't consider an LCdH an "or something". A Tijuana trinket shop that sells glass top Cohibas is an "or something" though.

Anyway, it was TG humor regarding the fact that it's probably impossible to buy a real Cuban cigar on the street in Mexico.

I've read that statistic before, but it's referring to Habanos bought in the U.S., not brought into it.

Oh, and, ahem...Cubans are better, yes

I'm surprised how many people are complaining about plugged cigars. Where are you buying these things from? I've smoked Habanos almost exclusively for a year now and I can count my plugged cigars on one hand I think. Tight draws show up now and then, but plugs are just downright rare.
