Wow, no kidding! We can get distilled water just about anywhere here...

Guys, this is a great thread. I'm not single in an apartment, but am married with kids (read: no money!) so I'm gonna go the coolidor route!

i read somewhere that if you boil filtered water or something along those lines its the same as using distilled. might be able to Google it and find something in case you need water in a bind. for me im not gonna try to make distilled water when i can walk down the street to the store and grab a gallon for under a buck.

Agreed, why would anyone want to short cut? Unless you are MacGyver.

Depends on the beads. You can buy tubes (http://www.heartfeltindustries.com/p...at=Empty+Tubes), special bags (http://www.cigarmony.com/8ouncemeshbagholder.aspx) or use (tied off) panty-hose for Heartfelt or similar beads. My HCM beads come prepackaged in bags.

I was a panty host in college, but usually tied up rather than tied off.

Ankle high nylons are perfect. About $2 from the grocery or drug store.

What bob said, even though I'll admit I like the Heartfelt mesh bags and use those. They are so easy.

I'm sold on a coolidor! I was thinking of going the wine cooler route but the expense and space are an issue. Many reviews I have read on wine coolers have sad they have a high failure rate after a year of use. I am out growing my 2 humidors and have a brand new extreme cooler in the garage. Plus this will give me the option of putting the cooler in the basement during the summer to regulate the temp better. Great thread here full of valuable info!
