It's the first week of August. You can just about set your watch by the Favre "I'm retiring" announcment.
Think about it: Is he really going to announce his REAL retirement via text message? The guy's a media hound. When the day comes that he's good and ready to retire for real, there is going to be some sort of media event that will dwarf the LeBron James TV special.
