Have you seen a cell phone lately without a decent camera built in? Someone running around with a collection of high end watches should be also in possession of a great cell phone as well, no? What do you think a parent would spend money on first, a good cell phone to reach his son or some expensive watch?
It smells like total .

I belonged to a forum several years ago for Car Enthusiasts. We had some similar posts. A kid claimed to own a MB S-600 Lorenser, if I recall. He posted all these photos of an S-600 and claimed it was his. However nobody was ever around to take photos of him next to his sweet ride. It turned out the S-600 did not come in a Lorenser and he was just some 15 yr old high school kid trying to act like he was hot ****.

Their are a lot similarities between our pal Colin and the kid I am referencing.

I completely agree with you and I stopped bothering with what the thread starter has talked about and I have been more interested in what others have posted.

Whether he's lying or not Rolex's are sweet and I would love to own one.

Tell you guys what, whether the OP has one or not, thread has evolved into something that frankly taught me a bit about my watch.
For that alone, was well worth it for me.

If he has it or not, won't enrich or diminish any of our lives. He is the one that will eventually be called out on it or live with that lie, if it is one. What I will add is I find interesting, only now after all this stuff is being said, that $8 beads were a stretch on finances but half of a Rolex Daytona is not. Why someone would get their kicks from a fabricated story, don't know but I am no longer that age either and can't remember much today, let alone yesterday.
One thing I was taught in my business is if someone is lying, let them talk enough. In time, nothing adds up and prior discussions are confused as lies cannot be readily recalled as the truth can.

However, again, means nothing to me as much as the resulting discussions have meant and added value.

No doubt. More than a Rolex though, I want a Breitling.
