Because it's a very outdated printing system (6 color dye vs. 12+ color pigment) the value of those systems has plummeted the last couple years. Current gen HP and Epson systems go for far less and print far better. I would estimate it worth about 4k if you're lucky.

It's tough enough selling this size stuff when it's in demand, but with the older stuff, your best bets are to put up a for sale ad on industry forums such as dpreview and list it on ebay. Craigslist can't hurt, but obviously you'll get a bottom offer and it'll take a while. If you need to sell fast ebay and crate shipping is your best bet.

I use an HPZ3100 and hate to think about the day I have to ship it somewhere!
