It depends on who blends it and how it is fermented/cured. The Eiroa boys (Camacho) can blend Honduran tobacco very well, so can Nestor Plasencia IMO. Honduran tobacco does have a very earthy flavor, and if it's lousy tobacco that flavor can easily go from "earthy" to "sour dirt".
Honestly, Dominican tobacco is my least favorite. Smoked a Columbian puro recently and it had potential but was way too mild. |
