So here's the thing: Aaron Hernandez is innocent. No, really. By law, if a defendant dies before his appeal process is exhausted, he is thereby deemed to be innocent of the charge. Yet, it is a mere technicality, but it may make a HUGE difference in the damage suits filed against his estate.
