I know...and to take a 7-0 loss to the worst team in the league this evening. The downward slope begins. Won 11 in a row...now we've lost 5 in a row...guess we're shooting for 11 losses in a row as well.

Mets fall out of first place...it was inevitable. I don't think we've had a starting pitcher record a win in over a week. The offense has been exposed. Hey Alderson..how about going out and getting some bats???? You can't consistently win ballgames only scoring 1.4 runs.

They've still exceeded my expectations for the season so far. It's early and there's a ton of baseball left. I'm not looking for a first place finish in the division, but a wildcard would be nice.

The unwillingness of the front office to spend money baffles me.
They needed a bat when David Wright had his press conference with no answers. Now they need two.
How are they trying to fill those holes?

A MLB exec on #Mets: "They want a middle of the order OF bat who isn't going to cost anything -- in terms of dollars or players.''

The Mets are scared to win. They have prospects to trade away for a bat they desperately need without trading away any starting pitchers. GM needs to be reminded that you need to take a shot if you want to score.
