Sorry for the piss poor customer service. Sad really. As another note for the big green egg I've had nothing but great service from my bge dealer and bge corporate.
Tip for you though on a bge: in wet environments after a cook when its cool reopen the vents. Keeps things from growing inside. But that's the only thing I do with mine that sits outside on am uncovered deck.

Sorry you learned this crappy lesson, but I very much appreciate you sharing it, Mark.
While I'm sure there's all kinds of workarounds to keep one of these things running, it's pretty obvious that it's a crap design that makes money, so there's no sense in Traeger going back in and fixing what sells. It's a typical barely-working business model that'll make them go away soon. Thank goodness.
