Missed it, what did Big Buff do, E.J.?

Watching Sharks-Ducks now...hoping SJ puts an end to Anaheim's streak.

Brings back memories of Billy Smith.

I see some posts about snubs and as an Isles fan of course you know I am wounded that they did not select Okposo. Boby Ryan is being left out too??? people do not realize how goo KO has been since about game 20 of last years shortened season. he is second in the league for american born players in points. and he gets gritty...But the biggest snub I think is leaving Yandle off the list. Good luck team USA I will be rooting for us to bring home the gold.

Page isn't loading, I will try again later. Maybe Big Buff is related to Sergei's girlfriend?

Sorry but that's like saying Doc Rivers is an amazing coach for bringing the Celtics a championship that one season where we were stacked with 3 future HoFers.

I'm sure that's why they chose him for Team USA for the Olympics...cause he has Crosby, Kunitz, Malkin, Jokinen, and Fluery to make use of...........

Oh wait....

Yea, you know the rest...

But that argument doesn't make sense. The argument I made to yours was that Bylsma got the excellent record and the Cup due to those players above, thus the causation of Bylsma becoming the coach for the USA Olympic team - that and lack of sexy US coaches on the short list. It's the same fate given to Doc, and Spoelstra in Miami. Now we get to your statement of "oh wait," since he really does not have the players. We will see how good of a coach he is right here. That's the ticket.

That said, it's always fun to see the American players play in international rinks. Most guys grow up playing in fat NHL-sized rinks and radius their blades into the pros at around 1.5", versus Canadian and Europeans at 1.75" and 2.00". Sweden looks good with excellent long-stride wingers and quick puck-moving defense. Canada has so much depth, it will most likely utilize umbrella to leverage its incredible offensive firepower. Russia will be interesting to watch as international rinks are more about playmaking and endurance, rather than pure physicality.

Disappointed today for Martin St. Louis and Brent Seabrook. Marty for sentimental reasons, and Seabrook because he is better than several of the d-men picked.

Detroit comes in and gets beat yet again by SJ. Cleary with a blatant head shot with the game out of reach, elbow to the head. Bertuzzi bleeding can't see anyone sad about that. Sharks continue dominance over Detroit.

It's a shame Detroit is the East now, and the Hawks and Sharks only see them two times apiece. Good for the Wings, though......The East sucks.
