Jefferson's very small batch is approx. 82 proof, very smooth and warm- not a big burn at all. Under $30.00. My favorite for most cigar pairings.

Blantons is one of the best for the price, around $52.00. Best bourbon I've had.
At this cost, for special occasions, but well worth the cost!!!

If you like wheatears, try Evan Williams single barrel - very high ratings and also under $30.00. Smooth and sweeter than most rye bourbons. Much better than Makers Mark.

If you like your bourbon stout, try Knob Creek at 100 proof. Good sipping bourbon under $30.00. Strong, loads of flavor...not for the faint of heart. This is one people either love or hate. Real Bourbon enthusiasts usually like it!

These are what I stock for my personal enjoyment. My 2c...

Maker's Mark

Blanton's

Bookers (a little pricey)

Knob Creek

Buffalo Trace

I don't think you can go wrong with any of these.

High West Rendezvous Rye or Templeton Rye (just try it - smokier and better with cigars).

High West Campfire - wow

Colonel EH Taylor Small Batch
+1 on Campfire

Was Gifted A Bottle Of Blanton's Several Weeks Ago. Good Whiskey, But I Prefer Maker's Mark. Blanton's Was A Little Too Strong & "In Your Face" For Me.

You can pick up the following top tier bourbons for $20ish:

George Dickel #12
Buffalo Trace
Eagle Rare

If you like rye whiskey, give Bulleit a try as well. It's closer to $30.

My local Costco has been selling the 1.75 liter of Bulleit bourbon for $30.
Great deal!
